The Kukri FUNdation is a fundraising group set up by staff at Kukri Sports to raise money for our nominated charitable organisations.
The FUNdation aims to support charities who compliment our philosophies of Fun, Sport and Teams. Each year the FUNdation will nominate different charities to support, this year we have chosen
The Legacy Rainbow House &
Wooden Spoon.
Rainbow House is an initiative by a local mother of two disabled children, who have a rare genetic life threatening disorder disabling them for life. The initiative was to help others in similar circumstances to herself within the South Ribble community and North West Region. However Rainbow House now has three services helping children throughout the UK. Rainbow House offers them a regime known as Conductive Education which helps to teach the child life rendering techniques in order for them to live a more sustainable and independent life within their communities.
Rainbow House is planning massive expansion over the coming years to include SPORTS facilities which aim to allow children and young people who would otherwise be excluded from mainstream sports the ability to participate and be part of a TEAM.

Wooden Spoon is rugby's charity supporting mentally, physically and socially disadvantaged children and young people. Spoon has committed to over £14 million in spending for projects for children and young people. Today there are 43 regional committees including three national committees, Scotland, Wales and Ireland with more than 10,000 members. It has become a national charity but one working very much at a local level where all funds raised locally are spent locally.
Spoon now consistently raises over £1.5m each year for distribution to local and national
projects.
